Seamless Mobility (2011)
Corporate Partner: Audi
Topic: Online-supported mobility services

Audi, one of the world’s leading premium car manufacturers, asked students of IWI-HSG’s Design Thinking course to ideate and prototype solution concepts for online-supported mobility services. Considering multidimensional design constraints and criteria, the design team developed a solution concept that provides a considerable enhancement of the Audi customer’s mobility space. Central to the hardware-software solution concept is a fully integrated tablet pc that can not only be controlled by gestures or keyboard but also replaces the existing on-board PCs. At the same time, the tablet pc is portable and contains a preinstalled Audi application. This application comprises both the already existing Audi in-car services and a set of innovative mobility services. The latter provide several intelligent reporting, bonus, control and navigation functions. By using the navigation functions, the Audi customer is enabled to incorporate all means of transportation in his planning (e.g., his car, trains, busses or flights) and therefore provides an integrated seamless mobility concept.

Futura (2011)
Corporate Partner: Gauselmann AG
Topic: Attractive and convenient gaming of the future

The Gauselmann Group is a family-run company offering innovative, fascinating, emotional and enjoyable amusement and fun machines from modern state-of-the-art multi game slot machines, infotainment terminals to money changing and processing systems. The company challenged their student team to reinvent the gaming experience of the future in terms of sustainability and ergonomics. The innovation team developed the Futura, an entertainment game concept that enhances the standard slot machine with a personal control unit for players as well as an independent game layer.
The personal puck with its ergonomically shaped casing provides access to the game layer. By enriching play experience through an additional game layer players are enabled to generate personal data for sustainable play behavior monitoring.

  1. Thank you, I have been seeking for details about this subject for ages and yours is the best I have located so far.

  2. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
