In above video Prof. Dr. Walter Brenner explains the Embedded Design Thinking Project @ Deutsche Bank.
__
Since 2009 Deutsche Bank is partnering with the Unviersity of St.Gallen to truly foster Design Thinking within its organization.
In 2011 the third project, in which Deutsche Bank invites several students from diverse fields of study to join the company as interns in the Design Thinking project, will be realized.
The participating students will be working independently on the solution of difficult challenges assigned to them by an internal sponsoring unit. During their stay at Deutsche Bank, the University of St.Gallen coaches the teams in the method of Design Thinking. Being close to the company and to the people working there is the key success factor for the delivery of innovative but user-centered prototypes. Deutsche Bank has created a great internal community around the project and during the last years Design Thinking has become the method of choice, slowly sneaking into Deutsche Bank’s corporate culture.
____

When doing embedded design thinking, you staff your own team from within your company. For example, you might offer internship positions to students from different fields of study, which then form your design team. The University of St.Gallen helps you to set up the project as well as coach your design teams throughout the process. Project duration is about 4-5 months.
