As part of the public lecture program at the University of St. Gallen, Prof. Dr. Walter Brenner and Prof. Dr. Falk Uebernickel gave an open lecture to an elder and highly interested audience this Thursday, March 18. The lecture was an introduction on Design Thinking as an innovation method and at the same time a presentation of the cooperation between the HSG, the University of Stanford and the corporate partners which assign innovation tasks to the students.

The audience members, largely retirees, were very curious about the prototypes Falk Uebernickel presented. Although some of the guests had been working in management or product development, the methods presented, as well as the divergence in Design Thinking, were new to them: The fact that the management of the sponsoring companies encourages open end projects and considers failure as part of the process, suprised the audience.
